After completing his undergraduate education at Yale University, Dr. Colin Knight earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia. Following a surgical internship at UVA, Dr. Knight served as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force. In that capacity, he worked as a primary care doctor, occupational and travel medicine specialist, aircraft mishap investigator, human factors consultant, and served on multiple deployments within the United States and overseas. He then completed surgical training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and pediatric surgery training at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. Dr. Knight was an attending surgeon at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, where he trained medical students. surgery residents, and pediatric surgery fellows, for over a decade. I am a Board Certified Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgeon currently practicing in South Florida. Although I am Board Certified in Adult General Surgery as well, I have devoted my practice almost exclusively to Pediatric Surgery since completing my training 10 years ago, first in Akron, Ohio and now in Palm Beach County Florida. Approximately 50% of my practice is emergency procedures and 50% outpatient or scheduled surgeries.
