Dr. Hoover is a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician. He grew up in western Pennsylvania, where he attended the Pennsylvania State University for his undergraduate degree and then the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for his medical degree. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine from the Augusta University Medical Center at the Medical College of Georgia and then went on to earn his Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Health Care Management from the University of Arizona. He is a veteran of the United States Army who left the service honorably in 2023 as a Major. He is currently employed at a busy community teaching hospital in West Columbia, SC that is a Level III Trauma Center and sees nearly 100,000 patients per year. He also has expertise in telemedicine where he has seen over 20,000 patients. He is licensed to practice medicine in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
