Dr. Weiss received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University School of Medicine, then completed her four year psychiatry residency at the San Fernando Valley training program, as part of the UCLA (at that time) Neuropsychiatric Institute. She became Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1990, and, after many years, a Life Fellow of that Board. Dr. Sheorn is a sole practitioner who specializes in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of PTSD. She is also the Director of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Training at the Department of Psychiatry at the Virginia Commonwealth University's Medical College of Virginia where she supervises and teaches the psychiatry residents. The training focuses on diagnostic complexity and the specifics of treatment.
