10Additional Information
I have practiced as a board-certified Physician Associate (PA-C) for 10 years in a clinical and surgical setting for both orthopedic and spine surgery. My clinical role has included diagnosing and treating a wide variety of acute and chronic orthopedic/spine conditions. Extensive experience in reading and interpreting orthopedic/spine X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and CT myelograms of the spine. I routinely perform a variety of orthopedic injections in clinic for appropriate conditions. My surgical experience has included being a first assist for various orthopedic, sports medicine, trauma, and spine surgeries. I have also routinely cared for patients in an inpatient setting for postoperative treatment as well as recovering from orthopedic/spine trauma. In addition to my inpatient and outpatient experience, I have also been a preceptor for students in PA school during their orthopedic rotation as well as students in undergraduate programs who plan to apply to Physician Associate school. I enjoy my time teaching students about the PA profession and sharing my experience as an orthopedic/spine PA. I am currently working toward additional certification with NCCPA for CAQ-OS (certification of additional qualification in orthopedic surgery).
