Board-certified Internal Medicine Physician with over 25 years of experience across different clinical settings, most recently in outpatient primary care, telehealth, and acute care hospital including the ICU and inpatient psychiatric unit. Have also worked in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. Experienced with many types of insurance plans and patients across a wide range of demographics. Currently working as a hospitalist in community hospitals of varying size as well as large tertiary care academic institutions while also doing utilization management. My concurrent experience in both inpatient and outpatient care settings has highlighted how easily unresolved medical issues can be overlooked during care transitions, leaving patients vulnerable to a delay in diagnosis or treatment. I enjoy finding ways to make complex medical information understandable to others, a skill that patients, caregivers and other healthcare workers have found very helpful. I have extensive experience in medical record review for attorneys and insurance companies.
