Dr. Ann Stanley has been providing pediatric dental care in Middle Tennessee for over 25 years. Dr. Stanley received her Bachelor of Science degree from Birmingham-Southern College, followed by her dental degree, DMD, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. She then completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Baylor/Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, during which she received extensive training in oral sedation, hospital dentistry, and treatment of children with special needs. Dr. Stanley has extensive experience in all areas of pediatric dentistry, specializing in non-pharmacological behavior management as well as all levels of sedation dentistry including nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and dentistry performed while the patient is under general anesthesia. Dr. Stanley has privileges at multiple local outpatient surgery centers. She has worked closely with all dental specialties as a team effort to provide comprehensive care to her patients. She works on a daily basis with patients from all socioeconomic backgrounds, including those covered by state insurance/Medicaid. Dr. Stanley has been board certified in Pediatric Dentistry since 2006, is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and is a member and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has served the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry for several years in volunteer capacities. She has worked as a committee member formulating and editing questions for board re-certification exams, and is currently serving as an oral board examiner of new candidates for board certification. Dr. Stanley has also served on the Tennessee Dental Association's Council on Dental Benefits.
