I am a board certified Emergency Medicine physician practicing full time at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center - a busy community hospital associated with a tier 1 academic university hospital. I have 9+ years of experience as an attending physician, including teaching residents and medical students. My areas of interest and expertise include all adult emergency medical conditions, trauma, emergency procedures, expedient care for acute coronary syndrome (ACS), and patient quality and safety. I actively participate in hospital committees on these topics, and lead the 72-hour returns committee in my Emergency Department. In addition, I earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology prior to my medical career, which has provided me with additional experience with analyzing and writing about complex topics. I am an active member of my professional organization, American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), at both the state and national level. I currently maintain an active medical license in the state of Maryland.
