Additional Information

I am a Neurosurgeon who worked in private practice in Seattle Washington for 22 years at Swedish Medical Center. Prior to that I was on the faculty of Northwestern University Department of Neurological Surgery for two years. I completed my residency and cerebrovascular fellowship at the University of Washington and my internship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons as a member of AOA in 1990. I received my Board Certification in Neurosurgery in 2003, which was then renewed in 2013 and is current. I obtained my MBA (Honors) from University of Washington in 2016, while working as a full time neurosurgeon. I then took all three of the CFA exams and passed first attempt (Level 1 in 2021, Level 2 2022, and Level 3 in February 2024). I recently left Neurosurgery to pursue a career in consulting. I had a very busy neurosurgical practice, performing 400-600 surgeries per year. Although I performed about 20% cranial surgery during the first 20 years, during the last several years, my emphasis was on spinal surgery in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. I have a Washington State medical license and a DEA license. I have over 20 publications in Neurosurgery, primarily from my resident and academic years. I have regularly attended the Congress of Neurological Surgery and American Association of Neurological Surgery Meetings.
