Dr. Ellana Stinson, MD, MPH, MBA, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with extensive clinical, academic, and leadership experience. She is currently in active practice at a Level 1 trauma center and has provided care across a diverse range of settings—from urban hospitals and rural emergency departments to standalone emergency care centers and community health clinics. Her testimony reflects a frontline understanding of medical decision-making under pressure, standard of care evaluations, and systems-level healthcare operations. Dr. Stinson earned her Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency training in Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, followed by a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Babson College. She has also served as Medical Director at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and Chief Medical Officer at EVOLVD Health. A recognized leader in medicine, Dr. Stinson is the current President of the New England Medical Association and has served on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Medical Society and the Physician Insurance Agency of Massachusetts. Her leadership has extended to national service as a delegate to the American Medical Association. Dr. Stinson has been featured in: WBUR, Boston Globe, NBC Boston, Boston Business Journal, and Commonwealth Magazine for her expertise in public health and racial equity. Her writings and commentary address issues such as the ethics of healthcare algorithms, health care for the homeless, and systemic racism in medical delivery.
