Checketts, DO, is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with over seven years of clinical practice experience encompassing adult primary care, rural outpatient medicine, hospice leadership, and medical quality oversight. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University – School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona and completed his residency training at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency program in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Checketts brings valuable expertise from his roles as Medical Director of Diabetes Education and Nutrition and medical director of Quality Management, where he participated with interdisciplinary teams in evaluating healthcare quality standards and protocols. His clinical experience includes managing complex chronic diseases in diverse patient populations, particularly Medicare beneficiaries with high-acuity health concerns. Licensed in Arizona, Dr. Checketts is available to provide expert witness and medical consulting services across multiple jurisdictions. Dr. Checketts is board-certified in Internal Medicine with expertise in adult primary care, chronic disease diagnosis and management, medication review, and geriatric care. He also has experience working with assisted living facilities, value-based care organizations, and rural healthcare systems. He has served as a medical student preceptor and is skilled at explaining complex medical concepts in clear, understandable terms.
