Additional Information

I graduated second in my high school class (Salutatorian) from Valley Stream North High School on Long Island, New York in 1972. I next attended Wesleyan University in Middletown Connecticut on full academic scholarship, class of 1976 and graduated with a degree in Biology. In 1981 I received my Doctor of Medicine degree at Albany Medical College of Union University. I completed by Internship and Residency in Categorical Internal Medicine in 1984 at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. I began in private practice in Internal Medicine in July of 1984 and I have been on staff at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center for over 30 years and this is my 40th year on staff at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida. I have lectured to the Faith Caucus of the American Public Health Association at their annual meeting in New York City on filling in the unmet healthcare needs of communities in 1996 titled "The Patient and Provider Partnership Program". I became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 1996 as well. In the year 2000, I founded the first concierge-style medical practice in Palm Beach County and served on the national board representing Concierge Physicians in 2005-2007. I have served on the Corporate Board of Jupiter Medical Center since 1988. I am an excellent communicator and writer. I am a frequent editorialist and have had well over one hundred editorials published in the Palm Beach Post and one even reached the New York Times. I am passionate and a committed Patient Advocate. I have never been sued in 40 years of medical practice so I know where and when a line cannot be crossed. I have also been healthcare-politically active my entire career and served on the National Physicians Council for Health Care Policy in 2016-17 under the auspices of then Congressman Pete Sessions. I only mention this to you for you to get a glimpse into my passions and dedication to not only Medicine, but to advocating for patients everywhere and analyzing complex problems and looking for their solutions.
