Additional Information

I am an advanced endoscopist with 9 years of experience at an academic, tertiary care hospital in Chicago. Following my residency in medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology, I completed an additional year of advanced endoscopy training. I currently hold the position of Associate Professor of Medicine and serve as the Director of Advanced Endoscopy services within the health system, in addition to being the Program Director for the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship. My practice emphasizes advanced endoscopic techniques, focusing on ERCP, EUS, and endoscopic resection procedures (EMR, ESD), as well as the emerging field of interventional EUS, which includes the drainage of pancreatic collections, bile ducts, gallbladders, and the treatment of pancreatic tumors and cysts. I am actively engaged with the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and American Gastroenterology Association (AGA), where I serve on multiple committees (Training committee, Medical Simulation and Education Technology committee; and the Education, Technology and Imaging Council). I have been part of and have co-directed several training courses. I am also involved in clinical research related to my field including various multi-center trials related to endoscopy.
