Over the past 30 years, John Conlon has reviewed thousands of legal bills in all types of cases involving trusts and estates, environmental cleanup, asbestosis, and toxic tort cases, all manner of business disputes including intellectual property and employer-employee disputes, bankruptcies, real estate, legal malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, sexual molestation, and state and federal criminal law matters to name but a few. John has provided both private opinions and court opinions on the reasonableness of fee bills and hourly billing rates in state and federal cases throughout the U.S. Case values have ranged from $50,000 to over $30,000,000 in disputed legal fees. His clients have included corporations, government and quasi-governmental entities, attorneys, and individuals throughout the U.S. who are either seeking or are opposed to attorney fees. As a Registered Mediator and a founding member of the Indiana State Bar Fee Bill Dispute Resolution Committee, John Conlon has mediated over 100 fee bill disputes. He has also provided CLE seminars to attorneys and paralegals on ethical billing practices at the local and national levels and has written four books on various issues related to attorneys and fee billing issues.
