Cheryl Mead, DNP, MSN, BSN, ADN, RN, CEN, CPEN, Cheryl Mead is a Registered Nurse with more than 21 years of nursing experience, specializing in Emergency Nursing remaining actively engaged in direct patient care at the bedside. She is board certified in Emergency Nursing (CEN) and is a dedicated member of both the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) and the American Nurses Association (ANA). Throughout her career, Cheryl has gained extensive experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients in a variety of emergency care settings, including a Level I Trauma Center and academic healthcare institutions. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of nurses and regularly serves as a preceptor and clinical mentor, supporting nursing students as they develop their clinical judgment, professional confidence, and bedside skills. In addition to her clinical practice, Cheryl is deeply committed to nursing education and leadership. She serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at a private university, where she teaches first-semester nursing students and helps build the foundational knowledge and clinical competencies essential for nursing practice. She also serves as President of the university's Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society chapter, promoting academic excellence, leadership development, scholarship, and professional growth among nursing students. Cheryl is actively involved in institutional leadership and quality improvement initiatives. She serves on the Research Board, Nurse Quality Board, and Voice of Nursing Committee within her healthcare organization, contributing to evidence-based practice, nursing excellence, patient safety, and professional advocacy.
