Dr. Erik Blutinger is a board-certified emergency physician, recognized for his expertise and extensive experience in clinical practice, leadership, global healthcare initiatives, and hospital administration. He graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University before earning his MD from George Washington University. During medical school, Dr. Blutinger pursued an advanced Master's degree overseas in the United Kingdom (London), complementing his clinical acumen with specialized training in health policy, planning, and financing. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). Dr. Blutinger's career has been marked by rapid advancement, notably appointed medical director in several roles for a large academic health system including utilization management / care management and community paramedicine. Beyond his clinical responsibilities, he is passionate about public health and global medicine, experiencing different health systems in countries that include South Africa, Guatemala, and Austria.
