Additional Information

I am a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician practicing as a Hospitalist with extensive experience managing patients in a variety of hospital settings, ranging from 200-bed community hospitals to 900+ bed academic medical centers. I currently practice at Grady Memorial Hospital, the largest Level 1 Trauma Center in the Southeast. My clinical practice focuses on diagnosing and managing diverse and acute inpatient emergencies, including strokes, seizures, myocardial infarctions, sepsis, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, pneumonia, syncope, and bacteremia. Additionally, I frequently handle complex conditions such as acute heart failure, atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response, hypertensive emergencies, gastrointestinal bleeding, diabetic ketoacidosis, acute kidney injury, and pulmonary embolism. My expertise extends to managing severe electrolyte abnormalities, liver failure, hepatic encephalopathy, delirium, acute mental status changes, sacral decubitus ulcers, and fall prevention. As an Associate Professor of Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine, I train and mentor residents and fellows, emphasizing evidence-based care and clinical excellence. My dual background in medicine and public health, with a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University, enables me to approach patient care and legal case analysis from a holistic and systems-based perspective. I obtained my medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed my Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency training at the University of South Florida. In addition to my clinical practice, I review legal cases and provide expert opinions. With a deep understanding of hospital operations, standards of care, and medical documentation, I am well-equipped to assist in cases involving hospital-based care, patient safety, and clinical decision-making. Certifications and Experience: - Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician - Associate Professor of Medicine, Morehouse School of Medicine - Current Practitioner at Grady Memorial Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center I offer efficient case reviews and prompt follow-up without delays.
