Dr. Rebecca Hutchings is board certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) and Pediatrics (ABP), and has been in full time post residency clinical practice for over 17 years. Dr. Hutchings got her undergraduate degree at Columbia University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish Language and Literature. She then went on to earn her medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. She completed her Emergency Medicine training with Louisiana State University School of Medicine at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, and then completed a residency in Pediatrics at the Tulane School of Medicine. Dr. Hutchings began her career as the director of the Pediatric Emergency Department at Ochsner Hospital and then took an academic position at Tulane Medical Center. She currently works in the Division of Emergency Medicine at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans (a level II trauma center), supervising students and residents from both Louisiana State University and Tulane School of Medicine. She also works as a Locums physician at several locations in Texas. As a dual trained physician, Dr. Hutchings has served on 9 medical review panels and has been an expert witness in 3 cases in the last 5 years. She has also done 3 case reviews in the last 5 years. She has experience with depositions and has also testified in criminal trials regarding trauma cases.
