A qualified walkway auditor is an individual who has completed a nationally recognised training program that establishes knowledge, skills and understanding as evidenced by successful examination, testing and skill demonstration on the methods, measurement, analysis and recording of walkway surface traction data, and who has maintained their credentials to the satisfaction of the issuing organisation. A qualified Walkway Auditor should also be knowledgeable in proper flooring applications and maintenance techniques in order to be able to assess walkway surfaces and propose appropriate remediation if walkway surface COF values are inappropriate for the location or are different levels desired by the facility manager or responsible person.
