Dr. Vicente Martinez is a intraoperative neurophysiologist with over a decade of clinical and academic experience in intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM), including more than 6,000 brain, spine, and peripheral nerve procedures. He holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan and completed a clinical fellowship in IONM at the University of Washington, where he currently serves as Associate Professor/Neurophysiologist in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Dr. Martinez’s expertise includes real-time interpretation of somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP), motor evoked potentials (MEP), electromyography (EMG), and brainstem auditory evoked potentials (BAEPs) during neurosurgical and orthopedic procedures. He regularly provides protocol development, technologist supervision, and intraoperative decision support for complex cranial and spinal surgeries.
