He is a practicing hospitalist as well as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He has practiced clinical medicine in diverse settings: private groups, hospital-employed, large academic institutions, smaller community hospitals, and teaching programs. Furthermore, he serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Patient-Centered Research and Reviews (JPCRR), an open-access, peer-reviewed medical journal; and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles.
