Dr. Jared Griffard is a double board-certified general surgeon and surgical critical care intensivist who is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. With extensive fellowship training in both Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery from the Yale School of Medicine, he has expertise in the management of complex trauma, emergency general surgery, and intensive care. Dr. Griffard is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, an active member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST), and an active member of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST), where he contributes to the Palliative Care committee.

Dr. Alexander Axelrad, MD,FACS,FCCM, has been a Trauma/Critical Care surgeon for many years. For approximately twenty years , he has been a Trauma Medical Director. While born in Brooklyn, New York, he was raised and grew up on a poultry farm in central New Jersey. After graduating from Cook College,Rutgers University with a BS degree, he then pursued and received his Master’s Degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University in biology. Afterwards, he completed his medical schooling south of the border at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Dr. Axelrad then completed his five years of general surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
