Dr. Barry E. Breaux, Sr. is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 35 years of experience in both medical and surgical ophthalmology. He completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry at the University of Kansas before earning his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Following his medical training, Dr. Breaux pursued an internal medicine internship and an ophthalmology residency at Martin Luther King, Jr. General Hospital in Los Angeles, California, later completing a fellowship in Refractive Keratoplasty at Holy Cross Hospital under Dr. Richard Villasenor.
Dr. Breaux has spent the majority of his career practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he has held numerous professional and academic positions. Jonathan Macy is a leading ophthalmologist in Los Angeles. He earned his B.A. and M.D. degrees at Boston University in 1976, with election to Phi Beta Kappa. After graduation, Dr. Macy moved to Los Angeles to do an Internal Medicine internship at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. A subsequent Research Fellowship at the Doheny Eye Institute led to an Ophthalmology residency at U.S.C., which he completed in 1981. Since completion of his Ophthalmology training, Dr. Macy has been in private practice adjacent to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. In addition to his busy office and surgery practice, Dr. Macy is a Past President of the Beverly Hills District of the Los Angeles County Medical Association.
