Jonathan Hochman, PhD serves as consulting and testifying expert for cases related to Internet marketing, e-commerce, website development, digital forensics, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, privacy, securities fraud in the technology industry, and disputes related to technology startups. Since 2007 he has provided expert witness services to plaintiffs and defendants alike for disputes involving trademarks, patents, trade secrets, copyrights, contracts, defamation and online reputation, unfair competition, conspiracy and fraud. Dr. Hochman has testified in 24 trials and 69 depositions. He has served as an expert in hundreds of cases. His clients have been located in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Israel, Ukraine, and Romania. A Yale University graduate with four degrees in computer science, Dr. Hochman has worked as a sales, marketing and technology consultant for 35 years. After managing several prior businesses, he founded Hochman Consultants in 2004. Then in 2008 Dr. Hochman became chairman of the trade association SEMNE, Search Engine Marketing New England. In 2010 he founded a successful Internet security startup, CodeGuard, which was acquired by Sectigo in 2018. He then founded UNS Project to develop novel technology for securing online identity and preserving privacy.
