Dr. Riley is a board certified radiologist with 20+ years of experience in general and musculoskeletal radiology. He is a Clinical Professor of Radiology at Stanford University Hospital. During training, he was the recipient of the Residency Research Award at UC Davis, and the Resident’s Teaching Award at UC San Francisco. Dr. Riley is the past President, and Vice President, of the San Francisco Bay Radiological Society. He is a member of numerous leadership committees and is the conference organizer for the Musculoskeletal Infectious Disease, Hip Preservation, and Arthroscopic correlation Interdisciplinary conferences. He is the radiology liaison for Stanford Hospital’s Sarcoma Tumor Board. He is also involved in quality improvement projects at Stanford Hospital. Dr. Riley received his board certification in radiology from the American Board of Radiology and earned certification by the American National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Riley has published in medical journals, a book chapter, electronic media, and abstracts. Dr. Riley is a frequently invited presenter at resident conferences, educational forums, and medical societies. He is also a manuscript reviewer for Skeletal Radiology and the American Journal of Roentgenology. Dr. Riley is experienced in interpreting and diagnosing disorders of the spine, shoulders, elbows, wrists, pelvis, hips, ankles, feet, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, muscles, nerves, and soft tissue infections, abscesses, osteomyelitis, osteonecrosis, arthritis and sports injuries. He also has experience in general radiology including chest x-rays. He is experienced in litigation support in both criminal and civil cases and has been called upon to express opinions in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, negligence, standard of care, and worker's compensation.
