Dr. Riley is a board certified radiologist with over 25 years of experience in musculoskeletal radiology. He is a Clinical Professor of Radiology at Stanford University and practices at Stanford Hospital. He received the Residency Research Award at UC Davis and the Residents' Teaching Award at UC San Francisco. Dr. Riley is the past President and Vice President of the San Francisco Bay Radiological Society. He serves on multiple leadership committees, is the radiology liaison for Stanford Hospital’s Sarcoma Tumor Board, and is actively involved in quality improvement initiatives. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and also holds certification from the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Riley has published in medical journals, a book chapter, electronic media, and abstracts. He is a frequent presenter at resident conferences, educational forums, and medical societies. Dr. Riley is experienced in interpreting and diagnosing disorders of the spine, shoulders, elbows, wrists, pelvis, hips, ankles, feet, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, muscles, nerves, and soft tissue infections, abscesses, osteomyelitis, osteonecrosis, arthritis, and sports injuries. He also interprets chest and abdominal x-rays. He is experienced in litigation support in both criminal and civil cases and has been called upon to express opinions in matters involving medical malpractice, personal injury, negligence, standard of care, and workers' compensation.
