Aton M. Holzer, MD, is the Director of the Mohs Unit in the Department of Dermatology at Tel Aviv-Sourasky (Ichilov) Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel. One week per month, he also serves as a Mohs Surgeon at Burke Dermatology, a private practice in Newark, Dover and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and works part-time as a teledermatology consultant for Refuah Health Center in Rockland County, New York. Dr. Holzer is a board-certified Dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon specializing in Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology, with training and experience in all aspects of general dermatology as well. He graduated summa cum laude with his BA and completed an MA in Modern Jewish History at Yeshiva University. Dr. Holzer then achieved his medical degree with Honors in Research from Weill Medical College of Cornell University, where he was awarded the prestigious "Good Physician" award. He completed his internship in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia Campus), a Research Track residency in dermatology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and his fellowship in Mohs Surgery and Procedural Dermatology at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas under the tutelage of Leonard H. Goldberg, MD. Dr. Holzer has authored a published chapter in dermatology textbook and has authored and co-authored numerous articles published in a variety of medical and dermatologic journals. His work has been presented at national dermatology conferences. He is also the inventor of a patented medical device which is currently in development.
