I am licensed physical therapists with over 27 years of experience in physical rehabilitation. I have treated patients throughout my career including when serving as Director of Rehabilitation at a Regional Medical Center just north of Charlotte NC. I currently have a private practice, where I continue to treat patients’ full time. My specific areas of expertise are in Work Injuries/Ergonomics, Peripheral Neuropathy, and treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. I have conducted research in these areas and presented throughout the United States at over 200 continuing education seminars for therapists, dentists and physicians. I have extensive experience with Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE’s) and return to work testing. ADVANTAGES: Include a meticulous review of medical records. I see this as the largest area overlooked or inadequately reviewed in preparation for trial and depositions. For Injury and Medical Malpractice cases where physical rehabilitation is involved, in the courtroom I have set the foundation for my clients by explaining medical conditions and interventions in a way that jurors understand. This sets the stage for the medical experts to follow and prove the case. As you can see from my CV, patient care has been my full-time focus. This has been tremendous asset in the courtroom avoiding the “hired expert” perception. While I have worked both for plaintiffs and defense, my attention to detail has allowed me to excel in helping defense attorneys find conflicting and mitigating factors.
