This expert has over 40 years of experience in safety management and engineering in several disciplines. He is Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Safety Health Technician (CHST), Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) and a NYS Certified Workplace Safety Consultant. He earned an Associates Applied Science Degree in Fire Protection Technology from Suffolk Community College and Bachelor of Science in Community and Human Services from SUNY Empire State College. Certified Work Zone Protection Supervisor by National Safety Council. Trained in TapRoot incident analysis. He is an active member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) serving as Regional Area Director and member of Expert Witness, Construction and Ergonomics Practice Specialties. Formerly, he was the Safety Manager for Tully Group General Contractors, Safety Director of Gershow Recycling Corporation and served on the Safety and Environmental Council for the Institute Scrap Recycling Industry. Concurrently, Safety and Health Regulatory Compliance Specialist for a public electric utility company in New York as well as the owner of an independent professional safety consultancy providing expert witness and full safety management services. I started my career in occupational safety at NYC World Trade Center Recovery, Clean-up and Restoration of the PATH train station. Furthermore, a retired police officer from NYC Police Department after 20 years of service. Additionally, spent 25 years as a Volunteer Fire Fighter on Long Island, attaining rank of Assistant Chief, while also accomplishing Level 1 NYS Fire Investigator and NYS EMT.
