Dr. Jessica L. Roos, PsyD, is a licensed forensic psychologist who conducts psychological evaluations and provides expert consultation in criminal, civil, and consultation matters. She specializes in forensic mental health assessments involving competency to stand trial, mental health diversion, violence risk, psychosexual issues, mitigation, personal injury, emotional distress, trauma, and psychological damages. Dr. Roos earned her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship at the California Institution for Men, where she received specialized training in correctional and forensic mental health assessment. She subsequently worked within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), conducting evaluations and providing treatment services to individuals with a wide range of mental health conditions. Dr. Roos is the owner of Roos Forensic Psychology Consulting, Inc., an independent forensic psychology practice serving attorneys, courts, and agencies. She is licensed as a psychologist in California, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and Florida , allowing her to provide services across multiple jurisdictions. Her areas of expertise include psychological injury and emotional distress claims, trauma-related disorders, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders, competency-related evaluations, violence risk assessment, mitigation evaluations, and expert witness services.
