I have practiced as a nurse practitioner since 2008 and hold four board certifications: Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and Emergency Nurse Practitioner. I completed my initial training at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and subsequently earned post-master's certificates from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Massachusetts Boston and Amherst. My clinical background is rooted in emergency medicine and urgent care in both rural and urban settings. I have held leadership roles within emergency departments since 2017, serving first as Lead Advanced Practice Provider and later as Deputy Chief of Emergency Medicine. In these capacities, I have built advanced practice programs in two emergency departments from the ground up, including the development and ongoing management of new graduate orientation programs. I have particular expertise in nurse practitioner and physician assistant training, scope of practice, credentialing, and physician collaboration models. I currently serve on several hospital committees, including the Patient Grievance Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and Code Blue Committee. In addition to my administrative and clinical roles in the hospital, I have taught primary care for nurse practitioners at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and maintain an independent psychiatric nurse practitioner practice.
