Dr. Daniel Womac is a New Orleans native and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body as well as microsurgical and implant-based breast reconstruction. He has multiple active state licenses in Louisiana, Texas and Florida. Dr. Womac received the prestigious award of Early Acceptance into Tulane School of Medicine and graduated with a medical degree in 2007. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. During that time, Dr. Womac spent a year doing a Plastic Surgery Research Fellowship on the physiology of microsurgical reconstruction using abdominal flaps. In 2013, Dr. Womac returned to New Orleans to complete a second residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Louisiana State University. There he received extensive training in advanced microsurgical reconstruction and aesthetics. In 2018, he joined the faculty at LSU as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and was later promoted to Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery. He continues to enjoy the complex decision-making and technically challenging surgeries associated with the University, as well as educating the residents through mentoring and research. In 2023, Dr. Womac joined The Weiler Plastic Surgery Group to focus more on aesthetic surgery. Since joining, he has performed hundreds of surgeries on the face, breast and body. He is up to date on all of the newest technologies and procedures. Dr. Womac takes pride in giving his patients the best personal experience and surgical outcome. He has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at prominent medical meetings across the country.
