Additional Information

I am a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon with specialized training in foot and ankle trauma and reconstructive surgery. I am certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in both forefoot and rearfoot/ankle surgery. My clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of traumatic and degenerative conditions affecting the foot and ankle. I completed advanced orthopedic trauma fellowship training at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio under the mentorship of Dr. Atilla Poka, MD, an internationally recognized orthopedic trauma surgeon. During this fellowship I trained alongside orthopedic trauma surgeons in the management of complex musculoskeletal injuries and gained extensive experience in fracture management, operative fixation techniques, trauma evaluation, and postoperative care of lower extremity injuries. My clinical experience includes the evaluation and management of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions including ankle fractures, calcaneal fractures, Lisfranc injuries, midfoot trauma, tendon ruptures, ligament injuries, and post-traumatic deformities. I routinely treat Achilles tendon ruptures, tendon injuries, and complex reconstructive cases including revision surgery and tendon transfers. I have extensive experience managing both operative and non-operative care of traumatic injuries, as well as complications related to foot and ankle surgery. This includes management of delayed diagnosis of fractures, surgical complications, wound healing issues, nonunions, and revision procedures following failed prior surgery. In addition to clinical practice, I participate in academic education and have delivered presentations and lectures on foot and ankle trauma, fracture management, nonunion, and degenerative conditions affecting the foot and ankle. My academic work involves reviewing current literature, discussing classification systems, and teaching treatment algorithms used in the management of complex foot and ankle pathology. My training and experience allow me to evaluate cases involving: • Foot and ankle trauma • Fracture diagnosis and management • Achilles tendon ruptures and tendon injuries • Surgical complications and postoperative management • Delayed or missed diagnosis of fractures • Wound complications and healing issues • Nonunion and delayed union • Revision foot and ankle surgery • Standards of care in foot and ankle surgery I maintain active licensure and remain current with evolving standards of care through continuing medical education, surgical training, and ongoing review of peer-reviewed medical literature. My approach to case review is objective, evidence-based, and focused on applying the appropriate standard of care within the context of the clinical scenario.
