Additional Information

Dr. Ronald Steven Federici, 38 year Clinical Neuropsychology Expert and 5-times Board Certified in Child and Adult Clinical Neuropsychology; Developmental Disabilities; Medical Psychology; Disability Evaluations and Clinical Psychopharmacology. I have been regarded and awarded recognition as a national and international expert in complex child and adult neuropsychological evaluations and forensic cases ranging from traumatic brain injury; genetic and acquired neurocognitive damage; child custody issues; complex adoption-trauma cases ( especially internationally adopted children ) and differential diagnoses of cognitive vs psychological impairment syndromes. I have spent 38 years in the Northern Virginia area after both Residency and Fellowship training in Medical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology challenged with the most COMPLEX cases that others could not handle. Have been recognized as a Expert Diagnostician and knowledgeable of all Forensic-Psychology cases and key presenter at the American Bar Association educating lawyers on neuropsychological testing methods and interpretation. I have served as Professor of Clinical Diagnostics and Childhood Disorders at the combined University of Virginia/Virginia Tech Graduate Programs, and served as visiting professor at the Military School of Medicine; Children's National Medical Center in WDC ; Children's Hospital-Harvard Medical School; UCLA; Texas Christian University and many others in the USA and abroad. I created and managed a team of experts from every medical specialty to work in overseas deprived orphanages, especially Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgari, SE Asia and Africa. In 1994, we founded " Care For Children International, Inc " and have been the foremost medical team to ever enter orphanages/institutions which were the most depraved conditions ever known. We worked in conjunctions with other governments and NGO's to evaluate and treat and send for adoption, children who would have died in such horrid conditions. We worked with the FBI and Interpole on child trafficking. I have been author/co-author on approximately 96 professional journal articles and books; and have published two (2 ) books on the proper neurodevelopmental evaluation and treatment on the post-institutionalized child. My work has been received and honored nationally and internationally; receiving many awards for humanitarian work. I have personally completed well over 8000+ complex neuropsychological evaluations and treatment plans. I have been a qualified expert in courts across the globe over 350 times in depositions; record and case reviews; and depositions. I have worked with criminal, family law and malpractice attorneys from all over USA. I have been on many national television shows and broadcasts discussing proper methods of evaluation and treatment of complex cases. At this point of my life and career, I serve in a non-clinical capacity and no longer maintain an active clinical license by choice. I continue to regularly assist attorneys and medical providers in a non-clinical capacity for many functions. Comprehensive review and analysis of neuropsychological, psychological; psychiatric; educational and medical records. I identify strengths, weaknesses and methodological issues in opposing expert reports. I assist in jury selection, case strategy consultation regarding cognitive capacity, developmental issues, malingering and mental health claims. I assist with trial preparation for experts and use plain language explanation of complex neuropsychological concepts for attorneys, judges and juries. Personal injury cases, child custody, damages, PTSD, child abuse and assessing proper testing methodology and DSM V / ICD-10 diagnoses. I AM MULTI-LINGUAL ( ITALIAN, GERMAN, RUSSIAN, ROMANIAN ) I am happy to send further supporting documentation of my 38 year expertise and discuss how my services as a consultant may be useful. I have seen and heard it all, 38 yrs, every type of case.
