Elizabeth M. Pieroth, PsyD, ABPP, MPH is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist specializing in concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). She provides independent medical examinations, medical record review, and expert consultation in legal matters involving traumatic brain injury, cognitive functioning, and symptom validity. Dr. Pieroth is a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology and is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Illinois. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Henry Ford Health System and holds a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology and a Masters of Public Health. Dr. Pieroth has more than 25 years of experience evaluating individuals with neurological injuries and has particular expertise in concussion and persistent post-concussion symptoms. She previously served as Director of the Concussion Program at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and Rush University Medical Center and currently maintains an independent practice in clinical neuropsychology. Dr. Pieroth has extensive experience in concussion assessment and management and has served as a neuropsychological consultant to numerous professional sports organizations and national governing bodies. Her roles have included Co-Director of the NFL Neuropsychology Consultant Program and Director of the Concussion Programs for both the National Womens Soccer League and the Professional Women's Hockey Leauge. She is a member of the NFL Head, Neck and Spine Committee and US Soccer Advisory Board. For more than 20 years she served as the concussion consultant to professional sports teams, including the Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Fire, Chicago Stars and others. Dr. Pieroth has authored numerous publications and book chapters on concussion and neuropsychological assessment. She frequently lectures nationally on concussion, neuropsychological evaluation, and the assessment of persistent post-concussion symptoms.
