Kevin T. Meier, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained neurointensivist with nearly a decade of clinical experience in neurocritical care. He is a full-time clinical neurointensivist actively providing direct patient care and serves as the founder of Meier Medical Consulting, based in Utah, where he offers expert witness and medical case review to attorneys and legal teams nationwide. Dr. Meier earned his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Brigham Young University before completing his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his neurology residency at the University of Utah and a fellowship in neurocritical care at McGovern Medical School at UT Houston. His clinical expertise encompasses the full spectrum of neurocritical care, including the management of acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, status epilepticus, cerebral edema, intracranial hypertension, brain death determination, and anoxic brain injury. He has extensive experience managing complex neurological patients in the intensive care unit, including acute stroke intervention and post-procedural neurocritical care. Dr. Meier also has significant experience in tele-neurocritical care, providing remote neurocritical care consultation and management across multiple facilities. He is well-versed in the standards of care for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of critically ill neurological patients. Dr. Meier is available for case review, medical record analysis, expert reports, and deposition and trial testimony in cases involving neurocritical care standards, acute stroke management, traumatic brain injury, neurological injury in the ICU setting, delayed or missed diagnosis of neurological emergencies, tele-neurology and tele-neurocritical care standards, wrongful death involving neurological conditions, and medical malpractice. He is committed to providing thorough, objective, and evidence-based opinions grounded in current medical literature and clinical practice guidelines. As a practicing, full-time clinical neurointensivist, Dr. Meier brings current, hands-on expertise to every case he reviews.
