I am a board-certified neurologist and owner of Advanced Neurology Center, a full-time private neurology practice serving the Atlanta metropolitan area. My practice includes comprehensive outpatient neurology as well as Independent Medical Examinations, neurological record reviews, disability evaluations, Fitness for Duty evaluations, and other employment-related neurological assessments. I am board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology and am a current diplomate of the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, Vascular Neurology, and Sleep Medicine. I have performed several hundred Independent Medical Examinations and comprehensive neurological record reviews. My medico-legal work includes evaluations involving neurological injury, disability, employment-related claims, and functional capacity. I am frequently retained to perform independent second-opinion neurological evaluations and to review complex medical records, including hospital records, neuroimaging, electrodiagnostic studies, laboratory data, and prior specialty evaluations. My clinical interests include stroke and cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, seizure disorders, peripheral neuropathy, movement disorders, and disorders evaluated with electrodiagnostic testing. I perform and interpret approximately 100 EMG/nerve conduction studies and approximately 800 routine EEGs each year. My opinions emphasize objective neurological findings, diagnostic testing, and careful review of the available medical evidence. As a former Director of Stroke Neurology at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, I led the development of the hospital's Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center and continue to provide part-time neurohospitalist coverage. I also participate in the education of neurology and internal medicine residents. My clinical background allows me to provide opinions that are grounded in current neurological practice rather than solely in medico-legal experience. I strive to provide clear, concise, and well-reasoned reports that are useful to attorneys, insurers, employers, and other decision-makers. My opinions are based on objective neurological examination, review of the available records, and accepted neurological principles. Reports are typically completed within 7–10 days following examination and record review, depending on record volume. I maintain unrestricted medical licenses in Georgia, New York, Pennsylvania, North Dakota, and Hawaii and am available for Independent Medical Examinations and neurological record reviews throughout Georgia and, by arrangement, in other jurisdictions. I also have experience reviewing selected matters involving acute ischemic stroke, thrombolytic therapy (tPA/alteplase), questions regarding time of onset, and neurological standard-of-care issues.
