After high school I attended Abbot Hospital nursing school and received an RN diploma. I then worked in Critical Care at Mayo Clinic. I graduated from Mayo’s pediatric nurse practitioner program then worked in that field and critical care while attending Augsburg College to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in nursing Summa cum laude. I then practiced in critical care while attending law school. After graduating Magna Cum Lau. I practiced with a mid size firm for 30 years trying multiple medical malpractice cases. I also tried several defense cases mainly involving auto accidents. When I retired from law practice I decided to pursue a career which allowed me to use both my nursing and law experience. Life care planning does just that. I enjoy working with attorneys as it keeps my legal skills . As an LCP I personally review all medical and other relevant materials, interview the claimant, research the injuries then write a Liife Care Plan that contains a summary of the medical records, discussion of claimed injuries and a future Life Care Plan that contains detailed information on the future medical care and treatment and the predicted costs of the same. I will assist in locating expert witnesses, suggest trial tactics if asked and can also offer guidance regarding exhibits and evidence. I work with both plaintiff and defnse counsel and approach every case the same regardless of who retains me.
