I am a physician based in Arkansas who is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. I graduated magna cum laude from Williams College (Williamstown, MA) and then completed medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine (Birmingham, AL). I stayed at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for obstetrics and gynecology residency, then moved to the National Cancer Institute for two year of research for my gynecologic oncology fellowship. I moved to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center for my clinical gynecologic oncology fellowship. After graduation, I worked at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC (Pittsburgh, PA) from 2005 to 2013, when I was recruited to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as the division director for gynecologic oncology. I was promoted to tenured professor in 2019. After 20 years of experience in academic gynecologic oncology, I transitioned to industry in 2021, facilitating oncology clinical research. Throughout my academic career, I pursued additional training in cancer genetics, cancer prevention, clinical research and physician leadership. I taught medical students, physician assistant students, nursing students, residents, fellows, and physician colleagues. I mentored medical students, residents, and fellows in research and career development. I received teaching awards and high ratings for patient satisfaction. I have served on numerous institutional, state, and national committees, including the NRG Oncology Ovarian Cancer Committee, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention HPV Speakers Bureau, and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition Medical & Scientific Advisory Board. I have published >60 peer-reviewed papers, editorials, and book chapters and made >70 oral presentations.
