Dr. Woodson is a board certified family medicine physician with certificate of added qualification in sports medicine (CAQSM). He graduated from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Blacksburg with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 2014 and completed his family medicine residency in 2017 at Virginia Commonwealth University - Riverside Family Medicine Residency. He subsequently returned to Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia to complete a fellowship in primary care sports medicine in conjunction with Virginia Tech. He has worked in community based clinics since, practicing as both a primary care provider and as a non-operative sports medicine specialist. He has experience overseeing advanced practice providers and teaching, both in the classroom and in the clinical setting. He has experience with sideline medicine including mass events, high school sports, NCAA athletics, and professional sporting events. Dr. Woodson prides himself on practicing evidence based medicine and timeliness. He is efficient and thorough, always paying attention to detail. He is licensed in both Virginia and Colorado.
