James P. Adams, PharmD, DABAT is a board-certified clinical toxicologist and licensed pharmacist providing independent toxicology consulting and expert witness services for legal matters nationwide. His practice focuses on the interpretation of toxicology data, impairment analysis, and causation assessment in cases involving drugs, alcohol, and toxic exposures. Dr. Adams holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Applied Toxicology (DABAT). He has extensive experience reviewing medical records, laboratory results, timelines, and investigative materials in both criminal and civil litigation. His work includes evaluation of postmortem and antemortem toxicology findings, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles, and the clinical significance of drug concentrations and interactions. In addition to consulting, Dr. Adams practices as a clinical toxicologist and serves as adjunct faculty, contributing to the education and training of healthcare professionals.
