Selim Cerci, P.E., is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida with extensive experience in forensic civil and structural engineering. He has performed over a thousand inspections involving roof systems (shingle, tile, metal, and flat roofs), structural components, building envelopes, wind and hail damage, hurricane-related losses, water intrusion, fire-related damage to building components, ceramic and porcelain tile failures, pool decks, cast iron drain line systems, construction defects, structural failures, and foundation or slab settlement. His forensic services include condition assessment, cause-and-origin analysis, and evaluation of slip, trip, and fall conditions involving walking surfaces, stairs, landings, and exterior pavements. Mr. Cerci has provided expert analysis and testimony in state court matters involving insurance litigation, construction defects, hurricane and storm damage, and property loss claims. His experience includes numerous depositions and trial testimony over the past decade. Before focusing on forensic engineering, Mr. Cerci's background included roof truss design and structural evaluation, which informs his current forensic opinions.
