Adam Broughton, MSc, PA-C, is a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant with over 17 years of clinical experience and specialized expertise in legal medicine. He combines extensive emergency care practice with academic credentials and deep understanding of medical-legal standards to provide authoritative expert witness testimony. Clinical Experience Mr. Broughton maintains active emergency department practice at Beverly Hospital (50 hours monthly), a busy 55,000-patient-per-year community ED with trauma center, stroke, and cardiac catheterization capabilities. His clinical experience spans diverse settings including Brigham & Women's Hospital, one of the nation's top-ranking academic medical centers, where he practiced for six years while participating in regular simulations, trainings, and education of medical students and residents. He previously served as Chief Advanced Practice Clinician at Holy Family Emergency Department, where he developed innovative advanced triage protocols to improve patient flow and supervised advanced practice providers. His 17+ years of emergency medicine encompasses critical care interventions, procedural medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, trauma care, resuscitation, and high-stakes clinical decision-making under pressure. Academic Expertise As Assistant Clinical Professor at Northeastern University's Physician Assistant Program since 2020, Mr. Broughton serves as Course Director for Healthcare Delivery and Principles of Orthopedics, teaching emergency medicine, clinical procedures, and medical-legal aspects of practice.
