Matt has extensive experience in shipyard repair of yachts, tugs, barges, and offshore support vessels. Including working with composite materials, steel and aluminum. Matt has extensive experience liaising with classification societies, and United States Coast Guard concerning vessel inspections and compliance issues. Matt regularly performs appraisals of commercial vessels and yachts for many purposes, including limitation of liability, damage appraisals, fair market value, etc. Matthew Knoll holds a USCG 100T masters license and has split his career between yachting and commercial marine operations. Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of New Orleans, and also completed coursework in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture. Matt began surveying in New Orleans. In 2019, Knoll Marine Services relocated to Florida. Matt regularly travels for assignments to Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Bahamas, Caribbean, and other locations as needed.
