Dr. Wade C. Roberts is a senior forensic economist and founder of Roberts Forensics with more than fifteen years of experience providing economic damages analysis, valuation, statistical modeling, and expert testimony in litigation across the United States. He has been retained in over 100 cases and has authored more than one hundred expert reports involving personal injury, wrongful death, employment litigation, commercial disputes, business interruption, lost profits, and class-action matters. He has testified in jury trials, bench trials, and arbitration proceedings and has never been excluded under Daubert. Dr. Roberts specializes in economic damages assessment, wage-loss and earnings-capacity evaluations, class-wide economic modeling, multi-plaintiff damages analysis, and complex statistical and econometric methods. His analytical strengths include regression analysis, forecasting, labor-market modeling, Monte Carlo simulation, large-dataset evaluation, and price-premium/conjoint survey integration. His work is known for clarity, transparent methodology, and defensible conclusions. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Utah with field specializations in labor, development, public, health, and gender economics. Dr. Roberts has more than a decade of university-level teaching experience in economics and quantitative methods at institutions including the University of Utah, Westminster College, Weber State University, and Western Governors University, where he received Professor of the Year (2013) and the Changemaker Award (2023) for his contributions to applied economic work. Dr. Roberts also brings more than twenty years of international economic research experience, including extensive fieldwork and program evaluation in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. His work includes randomized controlled trials, policy-impact analysis, microfinance research, and development-economics modeling. He is a member of the National Association of Forensic Economics (NAFE), the American Academy of Economic and Financial Experts (AAEFE), the American Economic Association, and other professional organizations. Dr. Roberts provides expertise to both plaintiff and defense attorneys and is known for producing reliable, relevant, and statistically rigorous economic findings that withstand scrutiny in litigation.
