Additional Information

I am a fellowship-trained, board-certified radiologist specializing in body imaging with a patient-centered, quality-driven approach to diagnostic accuracy. My background as a former Chief Information Officer provides practical insight into radiology workflow—how radiologists think, how decisions are made, and how systems influence diagnostic performance and safety. For the past eight years, I have served as a medical expert witness. I have been involved in multiple depositions and provide clear, objective testimony grounded in radiologic evidence and standard-of-care expectations. This work has strengthened my commitment to balanced, ethical evaluation of imaging interpretation, documentation, communication, and system factors contributing to clinical outcomes, near-miss events, and opportunities to reduce error. I also evaluate emerging AI tools for the types of diagnostic errors they may introduce in radiology and how such mistakes could affect patient safety and clinical decision-making. Clinically, I interpret MRI, CT, ultrasound, x-ray, and fluoroscopy, and perform image-guided procedures including fine needle aspirations and arthrograms. I have particular expertise in oncologic imaging and participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards for lymphoma, GI/GU cancers, and thoracic oncology. I completed my medical degree at Stanford, radiology residency at the University of Utah, and fellowship in Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging at UCSF. I am board certified by the American Board of Radiology and have authored peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and national presentations.
