Additional Information

I trained at John Peter Smith Hospital, which is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Tertiary Care Referral Center for North Texas with over 110,000 patient visits annually. I now work clinically at Baylor Scott & White - Irving ER. I have extensive experience in peer review, providing informed expert opinion about the appropriateness of care, medical necessity, bill review - including reviewing charges against Usual, Customary, and Reasonable fees. I have extensive experience in utilizing the PMIC handbook. I primarily review care and charges associated with ER encounters involving a patient who presents following a Motor Vehicle Collision. I have served as an EDQA committee member at Baylor Scott & White - Irving for the last 3 years and am one of the primary reviewers. I function to review cases brought before the committee and present them to the EDQA committee, assessing whether care was appropriate from an ER physician and going into detail into how care could have been better delivered and how severe from the standard of care the physician had deviated.
