RICHARD L. RABIN, M.D., has extensive medical legal experience. He has consulted on a large variety of cases and ophthalmic conditions. Dr. Rabin has served as the Vice Chair of Ophthalmology at John Muir Walnut Creek Hospital since 2021. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Rabin is the President of Walnut Creek Eye Care, a busy surgical ophthalmology and optometry practice in Walnut Creek, CA. Dr. Rabin has trained numerous residents and medical students. He is experienced in treating traumatic eye injuries, cornea, cataract, glaucoma, retina, oculoplastics, uveitis, neuro-ophthalmic, and refractive conditions. Dr. Rabin is also an expert in minimally-invasive-glaucoma-surgery (MIGS). In addition to routine surgery, he performs eye trauma repairs for John Muir Walnut Creek and Concord Hospitals. Dr. Rabin is detail oriented and thoroughly reviews every case. He has a background stemming from the Accelerated-Physician-Scientist-Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute-Albany Medical College. He has performed bench research in ophthalmology in addition to publishing on clinical ophthalmology. Dr. Rabin is confident reviewing scientific publications if needed.
