Eros A. Bilyeu, PG, CHG, CGWP, QSD/QSP is a California-licensed Professional Geologist and Certified Hydrogeologist specializing in groundwater supply, recharge, and contamination investigations. He is the Principal Hydrogeologist of Hydro-Geologic Solutions, Inc., a certified small business headquartered in Newport Beach, California. Mr. Bilyeu provides expert analysis, consulting, and testimony for litigation, permitting, and regulatory matters involving complex subsurface and water-supply issues. Eros has been retained as an an expert witness five times, deposed once, and requested to testify twice in the last four years. Following expert opinion reports/presentations or deposition, cases have ended in settlement and satisfied clients as a result. His work regularly integrates various non-intrusive methods for evaluation groundwater and soil contamination, drilling, geophysical methods, step-rate, constant rate, recovery testing, well efficiency, well interference analysis, well rehabilitation, clogging diagnostics, and performance monitoring to optimize groundwater/injection well and aquifer recharge facility performance. Mr. Bilyeu has authored and presented on topics including well testing, groundwater recharge design, and aquifer sustainability for professional conferences such as the Groundwater Resources Association of California (GRA) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and Clients including LADWP. He has been retained for litigation support in matters involving well design, construction, and siting, groundwater contamination, water-rights, beneficial use, and aquifer exemptions.
