Throughout my training, I developed the ability to analyze complex subjects and translate them into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences. I take pride in making technical material accessible and useful, helping clients understand and apply complex information with confidence. My consulting career began as a scientific advisor for a St. Louis law firm, where I provided research discovery support, medical chart review, and expert communication for litigation involving a rare fungal infection. That rewarding experience inspired me to expand my consulting practice to serve a wider range of scientific and medical needs. My foundation in science began in the laboratory of Thomas E. Johnson, investigating the genetic basis of aging and muscle loss. I later gained hands-on clinical experience as a certified nurse aide, caring for patients across a wide age range. At the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, I contributed to studies in stem cell genetics, mucosal inflammation, and host–microbe interactions in the labs of Wallace Chick and Sean Colgan. I completed the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, earning both an M.D. and a Ph.D. in molecular biology. My doctoral work focused on microbiology, antibiotic potentiation, and preclinical drug development. During this time, I founded Primer Pharmaceuticals Corp., a biotechnology startup developing small-molecule antibiotic adjuvants, where I continue to lead preclinical development and grant-funded research. My diverse background—spanning laboratory research, clinical care, consulting, and biotech entrepreneurship—gives me a unique ability to bridge complex scientific concepts and deliver clear, effective communication for legal, research, and industry clients.
