Dr. Kavita Kasat is a board-certified neonatologist with over 17 years of attending-level experience in high-acuity Level III and IV NICUs in New York City. She currently serves as the Director of Pediatric Quality & Patient Safety at Lenox Hill Hospital (Northwell Health) and is an Assistant Professor at the Zucker School of Medicine. Leadership & Systems Expertise: Hospital Safety Oversight: Oversees departmental quality programs, adverse event reviews, sentinel event reporting, and root cause analyses (RCA). Policy & Guideline Author: Authored numerous NICU and Maternal-Child Health guidelines, including protocols for resuscitation, sepsis evaluation, central line management, and phototherapy.
